The 28th Busan International Film Festival, which will be held for 10 days from Oct 4 (Wed) to Oct 13 (Fri), is now accepting its official selections submissions. |

For the official selection of the 28th Busan International Film Festival, fiction films, documentaries, and animations that were produced after October 2022 are eligible for submission. The submission will be categorized into two sections; Short Film for films shorter than 60 minutes, and Feature Film for films longer than 60 minutes. *Wide Angle - Korean Short Film Competition and Wide Angle - Asian Short Film Competition will only accept films of running time shorter than 30 minutes.
The submission for this year’s official selections is only available online through the festival’s official website (www.biff.kr/eng/). The submission deadline for short films is June 21 (Wed), 18:00 (KST), and for feature films, July 19 (Wed), 18:00 (KST). |

2023 CHANEL X BIFF Asian Film Academy to Accept Applications! |

The Asian Film Academy, an education program provided by the Busan International Film Festival, was newly relaunched last year in partnership with CHANEL, garnering much international interest. CHANEL X BIFF Asian Film Academy, which opened a new paradigm for the discovery and development of Asian filmmakers, will be opening recruitment for 2023. The application period will be open until April 30 (Sun).
Last year, experienced domestic and international instructors, Motion Picture Association (MPA), ARRI, and more participated in the program, showing its differentiated curriculum with special lectures, mentoring sessions, and project pitching workshop, receiving a warm welcome from the fellows. Furthermore, six fellows were awarded by scholarship programs such as the CHANEL X BAFA Promising Filmmaker Award, heightening expectations for their future ventures. With the support of Chanel, CHANEL X BIFF Asian Film Academy is expected to develop diverse programs and expand its scholarship programs.
